Evolution of the Android OS
Caricature (Image source: futurecom.com.br)
So many Android devices are available today. When it comes to
purchasing, it just depends on your budget, brand preference, and needed gadget
features or specs. But amidst this vast sea of Android phones and tablets,
which are the most bang for the buck deals? Allow me to assist you with that.
Sony
Xperia Z
Why buy a Samsung Galaxy S4 when you can
have this more affordable quad-core device from Sony? No offense Samsung but
the Xperia Z just won me over. Yeah, the S4’s Gorilla Glass is a nice feature
but the Z’s waterproof and dustproof casing is more amazing.
Of course, there are other specs which
makes the Galaxy S4 better but I think the differences aren’t that much. If you
can stretch your budget a bit more, then go for the S4. If you’re satisfied with the Xperia Z (like me)
and want a phone that needs little care from you, then go ahead and grab this smartphone.
Cherry Mobile Thunder
This dual-core smartphone from Cherry Mobile Thunder is a far better
device than the Cherry Mobile Flare. This dual-core phone has better battery
life and display. It’s a sulit device
because of the specs it possesses at a price that’s not so heavy on the
pockets.
Many people bought it and have testified that it’s a great phone.
Cherry Mobile Fusion Bolt
When it comes to Android tablet devices, I think many will agree with
me that the Fusion Bolt from Cherry Mobile is the most sulit to have. For only 4k, you get a quad-core Jelly Bean tablet
equipped with Super HD 2160p. No wonder it immediately sold out when it was
first released.
MyPhone A848i
When it comes to MyPhone (another cheap local brand) devices, the A848i
Duo is the most sulit for me. At 4k+,
you can enjoy a dual-core phone that has an exterior that can be mistaken for a
Samsung device (when the Philippine map at the back is hidden).
MyPhone maybe cheap and local but it offers quality phones. They don’t
easily break or malfunction. So far, I haven’t found any negative comments or
testimonials about the MyPhone A848i (even its predecessor, the A848). It was
hard to find a second-hand A848/A848i at TipidCP since most owners seem to be
happy about it.
Lenovo P770
If you’re not confident with cheap brands like MyPhone and Cherry
Mobile, then go for a Lenovo phone. Lenovo devices are more affordable than
Samsung and Sony devices but possess the same quality and brand reputation.
The P770, for me, is the most sulit
because of the 3500mah battery capacity. Many people say smartphones have
dumb batteries but the P7 series have smart batteries. The P770, the latest in
the series, carries the most juice. It’s a dual-core Jelly Bean Android phone that
can last up to 5 days or more on standby!
This phone is a good purchase for people who are sick of charging their
cell phone all the time.
