Guest Review 2

So previously, I had a friend write a review for me regarding ProFriends. It was a nice review of his experience with PCFI (just browse my previous posts or use the search bar to read it). This time, I have another set of reviews or testimonials from fellow buyers. These reviews were emailed to me. Check them out:

“I vouch for Pro-Friends. I was naïve before; demanding a lot from them. I guess my angst was rooted from the negative things I’ve heard or read before. I feared for my hard-earned money. Of course, any consumer wants to get the most out of his or her own money, right? Anyway, I used to get irritated quickly whenever they have to say no to my requests (like home viewing, speedy move in, etc). When I went to their office once, I saw a woman lashing out on of the staff. I suddenly realized that it was not a nice scene to witness. Also, the woman was rude and demanding. It was an enlightening moment for me; I realized that getting angry and lashing out so easily won’t bring any good. My anger will only instigate others’ anger. So after that, I decided to think openly. I always rationalize before I react. I realized that PCFI won’t run away with my money because the many projects are evidence enough that they are pushing through to finish everything – to give buyers their own homes.” (from Ms. Del Rosario)

“I think PCFI is doing a good job. My home will be finished soon and yes, there were times when I didn’t like some of the fixtures they did but when I requested for changes, they complied. I am happy that they are cooperative. Can’t wait to move in soon!“ (from Mr. Diaz)

“My home is almost done and there was a broken glass window. I almost went hysterical because they allowed me to see such a disaster during my house viewing. I thought they weren’t going to fix it. The guy from Pro Friends immediately calmed me down when he sensed my anxious questioning. He told me that the window broke earlier; just when I was set to view my house. I didn’t want to be played so I gave him my email address and I told him to immediately send me an image of a replaced window glass once it’s been done. A few days later, I received the email. I was happy. It felt nice that they did take action.” (from Ms. Chua)

“I’m into my second month of paying for our Carmona Estates home. I haven’t had much experience with PCFI yet but so far everything’s smooth. So far, no problems… yet? I hope it always stays smooth like this! I already have lots of problems to think about at work. Haha!” (cannot be named)

It’s interesting to read about what others have to say. I will post more in the future if ever I get some more from fellow PCFI buyers.

Choosing the Right House Unit

Most of the time, we try to opt for the cheapest price there is. Hey, who doesn’t like a nice bargain, right? But sometimes, the cheapest thing won’t end up being the best for us; buying a home for example. Yes, it is not a piece of cake since these usually come in hefty price tags (in case you haven’t heard lol).

So how do you choose the right home for you? Let’s take Lancaster New City (project of ProFriends) for example. This more than a thousand hectare estate offers 7 kinds of home models; each at various prices, designs or floor plans, and features.

Alice is the cheapest priced home at LNC (Php 870,000). It boasts of three bedrooms but if you’re three tall people, I think those rooms might be a little too tiny. The house is only at 40sqm in size although it is nice. J

Catherine is better at 50sqm. It’s Php200,000 higher in price though but Catherine has a nice floor plan and exterior design, too. It has more space. If you can stretch it to another Php200,000 for space, then go for Diana 2. It’s a nice home (personally, I just don’t like the exterior paint scheme).

Sophie is more expensive than the three yet it is smaller than Diana 2 sqm-wise. Why? Because it is a detached home with optional family courtyard. I think Margaret is more of a bang for the buck deal though than Sophie. There’s a 20sqm difference than Sophie yet it only raised to Php300,000 in price compared to the Php200,000 per 10sqm rate of Alice to Catherine and Catherine to Diana 2.
Enough of that now that you get the drift of how to wisely choose a home through price and space comparison. Now, how else should you choose the perfect unit for you? Consider the features as well. It’s not about the number of features offered (okay, it counts as well sometimes) but about the usability of the features offered to you.

Like for example, why choose to have a family courtyard when you’re going to live alone and won’t even spend time outdoors most of the time? Why choose to have that when you don’t even like planting or plants? Or how about having two baths? Why buy a home because you want more features like that when you can’t even clean one bathroom yourself? You got to assess yourself first. Your resources may be limited or unlimited but always think about what you really need first.

As for me, I chose the Catherine model even if I am going to live alone because I am a huge guy and I think Alice would be quite tiny for me and my other huge friends when they pay a visit or spend a day or two there. And finally, be sure to visit the home models (or actual finished homes of fellow buyers if you can) so you get to see how home and space actually look. Pictures can be a bit warped sometimes.
